Better Combat AI is an alternative but it honestly does what the other mods do but in addition to offering far less.So now, during a power attack you can't immediately recover and spin around to block: you'll be wide open. It basically uses a script to alter combat movement speed and your ability to spin and turn during combat. Athletik Combat Movement is a tweak of the movements implemented in the combat mod Vigor.The big difference is Smilidon does not feature an injury system. At face value Smilidon offers everything Wildcat has: Time blocks, attacks of opportunity, attacks cost stamina, etc. Smilidon: Combat of Skyrim is also by EnaiSiaion and is meant to implement some changes that couldn't be made to Wildcat.Upon reaching a certain damage threshold you have a chance to suffer a serious injury that can penalize you in different ways. It tweaks both damage output and input, adds variety to AI strategy and attacks, (AI will act smarter, etc) and my personal favorite: implements the injury system. Like all of ES's mods (Ordinator/Apocolypse/Imperious) this mod is meticulously crafted and expertly executed. Wildcat by EnaiSiaion: This is my go to combat mod.

That being said, OP has not returned so I'll give him a few options: Wildcat is my personal favorite, and if you're an absolute sadist there's a realistic damamge plug-in for it as well that turns Skyrim into a bloodbath. Said: I Really enjoy Wildcat, it adds a lot more immersion to my game and really makes you feel like each battle is a fight for your life.
